Being biblical in concept and doctrine, we never have to wonder about the church:
We never have to wonder who planned it --Jesus did (Matthew 16:18)
We never have to wonder who bought it -- Jesus did (Acts 20:28)
We never have to wonder who is the Head of it – Christ is (Ephesians 1:22-23)
We never have to wonder who commissioned it -- Christ did (Matthew 28:18; Mark 16:15)
We never have to wonder who organized it -- the Apostles did by inspiration of the Holy Spirit (Acts 14:23; I Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9)
We never have to wonder when it began - it began the first Pentecost following Jesus’ resurrection (Acts 2)
We never have to wonder what its doctrine is - it is all the inspired Scriptures (II Timothy 3:14-16; II Peter 1:20-21 8)
We never have to wonder about its identity - it is found throughout the New Testament
We never have to wonder about how long it will stand - death shall not prevail against it (Matthew 16:18)
We never have to wonder about who is, or who is not a member - The Lord adds the saved to it (Acts 2:47; John 3:3-5; I Corinthians 12:12-27; I Pet 1:22-25)
Observe that when these simple truths and Biblical concepts are missed in the Denominational doctrines, almost nothing else comes into biblical focus. The church is uniquely the result of God’s infinite wisdom and precious blood of His Son. Men cannot tamper with the church’s doctrine or structure and be sound in teaching, in faith, or in practice.
